First, let me thank Terry Howcott for bringing this to the attention of the Yahoo group I am a member of. She is most certainly a truth figher.
Second, well I must say that we must certainly praise the advancement of technology and the cell phone's ability to record and film incidents. In this case, it was not used to exploit, but to capture the truth--a truth that has been historically covered up for years: police brutality and bloodshed.
In this video reported by KTVU.com in California, a police officer stood over an unarmed, handcuffed, 22 year old, African American man lying on the ground face down and fatally shot him in the back, where the bullet ricocheted to his lung area, killng him instantly, according to this article. A barbaric execution in the worst degree, proving this officer needs to be arrested and charged as a criminal, for once innocent bystanders had the opportunity to film what is usually pushed under the rug and pardoned by our screwed up judicial system. It would be an absolute transgression of covetousness if this infraction is excused and this officer is set free.
I am just totally saddened and digusted. Watch here: http://www.ktvu.com/video/18409133/index.html, and make sure you pause the music on the jukebox in the left sidebar so that you can listen to the video without any interference.

I hate hearing about things like this...

Yes, I was disturbed when I first heard. I also wondered why it hadn't hit the news yet. I did today. Finally.

This is sick and an abuse of justice. The police are supposed to be there to protect us, right? When the police turn against us, and are allowed to attack and kill citizens without punishment, who will be there to protect us from the police?
